Welcome to futures io.

Welcome, Guest!

This forum was established to help traders (especially futures traders) by openly sharing indicators, strategies, methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading forums:
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive on our forums.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendor advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in openness and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, it is not something tangible you can download.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community. It's free and simple, and we will never resell your private information.

I forgot who said it, but it's something like:

"The market will go up or down, regardless of your position."

Trading someone else's methodology is like imitating a chef from the food network.
Looks good on TV, and when you do it....it's never the same.

PM with any questions about optimusfutures (800) 771-6748 (561) 367 8686. THERE IS A SUBSTANTIAL RISK OF LOSS IN FUTURES TRADING.

Thanks. That name is vaguely familiar. All these sayings are
like limericks. No one knows where most came from, but the
first time someone says it AND it gets in print, that's the person
that gets the credit for it for all time.

Since Japanese candlesticks were around with the rice market
in the 18th century I'll guess they had some sayings back then too.
Many probably never written down either.
Probably the same ones we use today.

If you don't have an exit strategy, the market will figure out one for you.
