General question: why does this forum have an "elite" section"? Just curious---what's the point? Seems, I dunno, elitist, doesn't it? Kind of off-putting to me.

Elite section gives you access to lots of information that 99% of other people on the internet would charge thousands for.. indicators/system's/programming/ the list is endless... just because there is an elite section doesn't mean anyone is better then another person... not to mention all the discounts that come with an elite membership.. ask anyone here and I'm sure most of them will say they have gotten far more information then ever expected for $100.

Lots of good stuff there, more serious traders too. Helps owner pay the bills.

I wouldn't recommend it, OP. With your poor attitude you are unlikely to get much value out of it.

If you were to work out the educational rate of return on the $100 spent on the Elite membership, it would be 'off the charts' when compared to the thousands of dollars that a wannabe trader can spend elsewhere, not to mention the time lost elsewhere that can never be made back.

to be honest, $100 is nothing compared to what you'll spend yourself on a single trade when trading live. The stoploss will probably be more than the elite membership. However when i first started i also contemplated the $100 cost. But there is some serious valuable content here that can save you quite a bit when you're trading. Just gotta dig through the old threads and there are some serious nuggets you can pick up.

There's documentation of traders from all types and styles and you can see and learn what they're doing and going through, from psychology to trade management to be able to see the bigger picture and put things into context. Also, there is quite a bit of valuable indicators for NT than other softwares imo but the ones that are uploaded here are worth more than 100 itself.

Whatever you may be struggling with, chances are it's probably documented by someone here at some point in time. Jumping to the other side will not make you profitable overnight, or make you learn some magic setup that we have that you guys don't on the non-elite side. The more you trade, the more you realize there is no holy grail setup, it's all about managing your state of mind with some little pattern/style of trading that has an edge and pays more than your losses. But this is just a glimpse of what can be found, and it's a one time fee, i've paid more to my broker, market, softwares, than i did for this elite membership.

But again, you must be willing to make the decision if you want to or not, we're just sharing our experiences.

Some people are happy to pay a person for their time and effort to receive something they themselves think will be of value to them. Others people expect that somebody else should provide their time and effort to help them for free.

A person being an Elite Member is potentially a good sign that the person might be prepared to put some time, money, effort in to helping themselves as opposed to the many Trading Apprentices that just ask questions, never respond unless they want something else, can't seem to find the Thanks button, and quickly end up on the ignore list.

For some of those reasons a lot of the Elite Trading Journals are worth looking at and most of the non-elite ones aren't.

You do not win as a trader, you just get to play again the next day. If that game doesn’t appeal to you then you should not trade. Gary Norden

Thanks for the reply, but your $100 goes for... what exactly? Indicators I may or may not need, but I have no idea what they are in advance. The wise trader, in fact the wise consumer of any product, does not shell out money for something they can't see in advance---how do you know what you're getting? This is the "black box" effect, or the "pig in a poke" if you're an old timer like me.
If you can convince novices to pay $100 for something unknown, I would be surprised (but maybe I shouldn't be!). It does seem unwise, however, to pay for something without even being able to see what it is. Do you understand my concern?
