I'm a newbie looking for a better Mac friendly charting platform. I use TOS currently and I think I've outgrown it. I execute trades currently through IB, although I'm not married to IB, just looking for new options for charting (and data I guess?). A newbie to getting into specific charting. Thanks

CQG Desktop is pretty good. I don't think there are as many Mac platforms out there that are available to retail clients. There seems to be a lot of web based options though. But definitely take a look at CQG. They really do have some good options and I think they have a phone app now.

I just discovered that Mac MotiveWave users can run two separate Workspaces at the same time.

This is incredible because I want to run a custom algo at the same time as I trade manually, but the problem lies in that the two separate brokers use the same label for the symbol.

With two separate Workspaces, the conflict is solved!

How to run two MotiveWave Workspaces (Mac only):

1) Open Terminal

2) Type: open -n -a motivewave

You will have to repeat this process each time you want to run a 2nd Workspace.

Try Ninjatrader, its nit as "pretty " as TOS but in mant ays it does alot more. If your trading Futures id say its def better with the ATM auto stops you can set and targets
