Hi, I've been an Elite member for about 2 years now, so the questions I'm about to ask is a bit embarrassing. I guess I should have known these answers by now. In short, I busted out of my account and going back to the drawing board. One of the changes I'm implementing is trying to utilize Futures.io a lot more in the future.
PS - I have gone through the introductory articles and videos as created by Big Mike but these don't answer my specific questions.
1. How can I change my username?
2. How can I delete a thread I started? Reason: I started a trading journal last year but my strategy is going to change completely. That journal is obsolete and I just want to get rid of it.
3. Since there is 100's of thousands of threads / posts / comments on the forum, how do I filter to see the really good ones? Should I only filter by most viewed or most replied or is there other ways?
4. How can I determine which users are worth following? Obviously some have more experience than others and I would like to learn from those who have solid trading backgrounds.
5. How do I actually follow users?
6. I see some users have their usernames highlighted with a red background. What does that mean?
Thank you

I'll answer #1 and #2, for 1 you have to private message me with the new user name you want. If you are Elite, I'll change it. Please note, I'm about 500 PM's behind right now unfortunately, so there will be a wait.
For 2, you can only delete a post for up to 24 hours. If it's post #1 in a thread, with no other replies, deleting it will delete the whole thread. Otherwise, you can't.
#3 You can 'follow' posts and get alerts instantly or email etc.
I find the best way for me is to use the (New Posts) on the top bar.
Only posts that are new appear there when I visit and each day.
I mark them all as "Mark all forums as Read" so they are refreshed.
#4 That is a personal preference and you should weigh the comments to suit your trading style.
#5 You can ask to be on your friends list but usually I just click on the name I want to follow and "find posts by..."
#6 Highlighted names are because of forum activity. There is a formula that calculates a users profile and activity.
"You will reach Market Wizard level once your forum reputation is equal to about the top 5%"
I'm pleased to announce that we've created a special Rank for Market Wizards. The rank color is signified by a red background on a username, similar to how mine is purple.
Market Wizards are users who know futures.io (formerly …
anyone know if there is a way to make this forum "play nicely" with browsers that don't take up the full screen?
apart from zooming out?
My web browser is usually just 960 pixels wide. Most web sites fit into that space well but this site requires a browser about 50% wider than that. (at 100% zoom on win/chrome)
One mans rubbish is another mans treasure. It is up to you to spend the time going through and finding value.
Perhaps tell everyone what your trade approach is, your personality type, Instruments you prefer (thin/thick etc) and someone will be able to point you to articles in line with your interests.
Good luck
