I know a little with market profile so hope somebody here can help. I've been reading and searching what gap is in market profile but still don't really get what it is, some pictures/charts that can show what it is will definitely help. Thank you.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I finally change the chart to the globex sessions and I think maybe I found the answer....can somebody familiar with market/volume profile verify this please.
A gap is formed in market profile when price moves rapidly with not a lot of volume
typically gaps in market profile, will provide little or no resistance
when the price travels back to the other direction
Exist the gap that is the closing price of the previous session. Why this price is important?, because 95% are watching it and when the market touches it, it has a reaction. Why is a gap created? generally what is traded at overnight should not interfere in our volume in the RTH, it is at 9:30 a.m. where the action occurs and it is in the regular hour where those who will make the market move participate. The gap closes once the market has touched it during the RTH
