Hi Wiz,

Please see my attachment i used the template (#389) panel 2 ind. (12,0) seems different than ur chart at post #383

SSS

Yes. I see that there is a difference. One reason might be that I was off work for 2 weeks & did not have Ninja up & running on that computer (from which I made the screenshot). Not having 2 weeks worth of 9 RangeNoGap bar data could have had an effect on the calculating of the indicators. I've seen that happen before when I missed a day at work or so. I can't explain it. I've attached a new template for you to play with and a screenshot of today's data showing the slight advantage it gives. It's obvious once you see it. It uses both a 12 period & overlaid 5 period d9ParticleOscillator. In combination with the SMI2 trio, I think it gives a little more advantage for us indicator junkies.

After all, it's what you learn AFTER you know it all, that counts!

A great book that just came out is "READING PRICE CHARTS BAR BY BAR" by Al Brooks M.D., but if you are new in the trenches this book is not a starter book. Infact, without some basics, it is over a lot of peoples heads.

Garry - I got my copy of the book this week. Thanks for the recommendation, it looks excellent. I had high expectations and they're exceeded. Truly a gift from Mr. Brooks.

I started a thread for it so that those who are interested in learning the material in the book can exchange ideas and ask questions. So far it'll be you & I but I hope others will follow.

Joel, Glad to hear from you. Here's a screenshot from Friday & the latest HG 091109 template, if you'd like to give it a try, too. I added a FAST d9ParticleOscillator (overlaid) over the regular d9ParticleOscillator to give a little advance warning of potential direction change (to be used in conjunction with the SMI2 trio, of course, which almost always gives good directional indications. I think I've tinkered with it just about enough to be able to leave it alone & use the 091109 template for good!

Ok, one last change. HolyGrail 091209. THAT'S IT !

Attached is a list of indicators you will need for the HG 091109 or 091209 template to display properly. These are all available in the forum. If you have difficulty finding them, let me know & I'll direct you to the appropriate link(s) to download them.

After all, it's what you learn AFTER you know it all, that counts!

Hi Wizard,

I have a question re: your screenshot of Holy Grail (09112009), not about the template itself but the trades you highlighted (manually with white arrows). I wonder what was your reasoning for not selecting the trade from about 12:56 which would be a loosing trade. Did you just want to highlight profitable trades or did you notice something that would keep you out of going short at 12:56.

Thanks again for this thread!
