Wizard,

First, thank you for sharing your set-up. You make a comment in the beginning of the thread how you feel its just as good as some systems selling for $3-4K. I would agree, it probably is and its generous of you to share it. I have a couple of question if you don't mind.

1. What is the colored virtical bar on the right side of the chart? How is it used?
2. You mentioned in the thread having different types of indicators to get confirmation instead of duplicating types such as all momentum indicators. If the SMI is a momentum type indicator, that is my assumption. What is the d9ParticleOscillator? I thought Oscillators in general are OS/OB mementum based. If the d9 is not can you clarify for me?
3. I the particleOscialltor can be used for divergences, true?
4. Just to confirm, you have removed the 3/10 and use the d9 and the SMI
5. what are the colored horizontal lines that plot above/below price. I'm sure its in the post somewhere, but don't recall seeing it.

Thanks again.

David

David_R,
1. The colored vertical line, I believe, is JTRealStats
2. I ran across Sefstrat's d9ParticleOscillator & put it on the chart. Not sure why. You could use the SMI combo just as effectively.
3. If you watch the RawTrend (solid thin line that crosses above / below the dotted prediction line) in the d9ParticleOscillator, you can use it (sometimes) to detect divergences.
4. Yes. I removed the LBR310 as I noticed it only added more confusion to the setup.
5. Not sure which screenshot you're looking at (I 'enhanced' it so many times). It's probably either Dynamic S/R or TROmethod, which draws red / blue horizontal lines at support / resistance levels. If they're white dots, it's the DoubleMA_Paint_Sharky indicator (netral plot - set to WHITE, DOT, 14 period).

Hope that helps.

p.s. I'm not using the HG setup anymore, but will be happy to answer any questions you have, regarding it, to the best of my recollection.

After all, it's what you learn AFTER you know it all, that counts!

TheWizard, I have been reading your thread for the last few days and am going to download and try your HG indicators. I am thankful for your insight as I’m just getting started and plan to spend lots of time using the NT simulator.
I do plan to go back through the entire thread and take notes, but there is one question that I would like to ask first. Are you seeing better results with your latest setup or did you have equal performance with your post #349?

Thanks in advance,

Dan

Dsmith,

Not using HG setup anymore. I've attached a screenshot of my most current setup. Considerably less congested than the HG setup (which was one of my first foray's into fiddling with indicators / settings & sharing in the group). I've included a list of the indicators that are on the chart, too. I'm now trying to stick to a larger time frame (fewer trades), have switched to MedianRenko as a bar type (less noise than minute, range, volume, tick, etc). Send me a PrivateMessage if you're interested w/ your EMAIL address & I can send you the indicators / chart template setup.

After all, it's what you learn AFTER you know it all, that counts!

Thanks Mike. Nothing to hide, someone else had mentioned & I also kinda felt like I had been posting too much & took a break. Didn't want to wear out my welcome or eat up lots more disk space on someone's server, and it wasn't really related to the HolyGrail. Is it ok to start a new thread.? I was thinking of calling it WizardsDen. I could post it all there.
