Institutional Buyers on EUREX

Dear Futures Traders,

As I currently live in Australia, I do not have access to US RTH and would like to trade Futures on Eurex instead.
I am interested in the Institutional Buying time-frames during European RTH (Australian evening hours).

Do anyone of you know which EUREX Futures Institutional Buyers love to trade?
What about
FDAX, German Index
FDXM, mini FDAX
FMK2 (Kopsi - Korea Index but traded on Eurex),
FGBL, Euro Bund Future
FESX, Euro Stoxx 50 Index
etc....

Which EUREX Futures are the favourite Institutional Buying vehicles?

Thanks,
Warcious

Hi warcious,

the most active institutional Eurex-product is the German Bund (FGBL), there are days, the Bund is the most active future worldwide.

Welcome @warcious

All your instruments mentioned are very interesting.
To answer your question:
Watch for
1) volume
2) liquidity over day time
and then compare the margins - overnight included if necessary!

After that you will have a overview and you can take what suits you best with your trading style.

Good trades

The exchange websites give some useful volumes and information analysis if you dig around:

Eurex

Eurex Exchange - Eurex Exchange

and Xetra

Deutsche Börse Group - Deutsche Börse Group

Cheers

Gentlemen,

Thank you for your replies so far!

I understand that FDAX has its RTH trading hours from 07:50am to 10:00pm CET, but is it really during all this RTH that the institutional buyers are buying with the highest volume, or should I look at a different time intervall for a more real RTH trading range?

But according to their website it is from 7.30 - 22.00, or do I misunderstanding their definition of RTH?
Look further down on the webpage, Regular Trading Hours in dark green color:
Eurex Exchange - DAX® Futures

What about the RTH for:
FGBL, Euro Bund Future
FDXM, mini-DAX
FESX, Euro Stoxx 50
and FMK2, Kopsi ?

Do you know if there is a Nikkei index on Eurex as well?

If I say regular trading hours, I mean the day-session (= the session the cash market is available)

eurex-products are tradeable between 8:00 and 22:00 (European Time)

Well, each continent has its own cash-market, right?

Would it be the very same time for the other Futures I mentioned?
