I am using ninjatrader. I have a couple of strategies that will bracket orders, however, they will not bracket in a fast market. Is there a way to get the market to accept brackets in a fast market?

Widen out the bracket, get a faster market connection, or use a better platform that can re-bracket if the order gets rejected.

What are fast markets? I hope you don't mean CL- and NG-inventories or NFP. In this case I would say don't trade em.

In this cases, the connection to the exchange is slower than the market moves, so it can happen that both parts of the bracket can get filled.

NT8's Internal Order management will not allow for bracket orders. You have to use their unmanaged orders and you need to write your own trade management (entries, cancels, overfills, check for hanging orders, trail stops, etc...). If you do go this route don't forget to use OCO orders the are held at your brokers server so you don't get caught being filled both ways (not always a bad thing if your trying to catch a whipsaw...lol).

Thanks for the help. Can you reccomend or refer a platform that allows re-bracketing?

xtrader is the fastest and most staple..you can build every complex order under the sun. they also have a advance program that can turn your ideas into a algo in a few clicks. it cost 50.00 a month. take a free trail for a look see ..hope it helps..p.s. they have phone support from people that know what the hell they are doing. ninja trader support is over ran by new traders that need a lot of support ..
