I wanted to start this thread where we could make notifications whenever the exchanges change margins.
This will help traders be inline with the proper margins in their accounts.
Please verify/confirm also on the exchange sites when such changes take place.

I thought over time we will end up with lots of posts about all different instruments/exchanges and it will be difficult for a reader to establish exactly what is the current margin for say Crude (CL) as he will have to sift through all the posts for that exchange/instrument AND then satisfy himself it is in fact current.
Should we not be able to rely on our broker maintaining an up to date margin schedule on their web site?
I know most brokers have such a thing on their web site, but are you suggesting brokers (other than Optimus of course ) are not keeping these up to date?
I did not suggest that brokers do not update their site.
Most people have this site open during trading hours, and I thought a periodic update would be a matter of courtesy.
However, if you think that most rely on their broker site, then I would make a better effort to update on our site and send notifications accordingly. I appreciate your input.
