Wondering if there is a "Range " bar without the 1 tick gap between the open and close of the previous bar ? Ed's Renko is close to what I'd like ,but has to go twice the previous bars body on reversal before a new candle is started . thx

Break, I swear I never saw your profile before I entered my favorite instrument. Anyway, there is a no-gap bar .zip in the Ninja 7 indicators section. It may be what you are looking for but not me. It creates a new bar when the bar is filled and the next tick exceeds the range specified. Then it goes back and fills the bar to the previous high (or low) then the rest of the bar is completed. This is almost what NTs range does except I guess it is a little better because the next bar high is not the range plus one tick above the previous bar.

No, I am looking for what Cynthia Kase described where a new bar was started as soon as the current bar was filled regardless of what the next tick is. I think we'll get more granularity of the order flow that way.

Kase Bars are discussed on this thread, including a download link.

Due to time constraints, please do not PM me if your question can be resolved or answered on the forum.

Need help?
1) Stop changing things. No new indicators, charts, or methods. Be consistent with what is in front of you first.
2) Start a journal and post to it daily with the trades you made to show your strengths and weaknesses.
3) Set goals for yourself to reach daily. Make them about how you trade, not how much money you make.
4) Accept responsibility for your actions. Stop looking elsewhere to explain away poor performance.
5) Where to start as a trader? Watch this webinar and read this thread for hundreds of questions and answers.
