Thanks for your support. It is much appreciated. This argument goes further then fibs really. It's about what this site is really about? Is it about keeping an open mind about different ways to trade, or following one method blindly?...

Yes. I have posted this very point here - and sent enough "report this post" messages to @Big Mike to be reprimanded (publicly) for my efforts here . I have gained so much from this site - seeing how other people approach the market, learning about things that I had not even considered (and I am full time trader - and have been since day one on this site back in 2009). It still "affects" me to watch those who hold one view so willing (and able) to go into other threads and trash everything that doesn't fit into their construct of what is right. That has always seemed like it was not appropriate, not in the spirit of what this site stood for. At any rate, I'm good, I've received way more value here than I ever paid for - and still enjoy occasional insights from what is created here. I hope those who come after me will get the same - but I concede that it's not up to me, and I can't control any outcomes here. In fact, this post can be immediately deleted by me - and then re-posted by @Big Mike (that is exactly what occurred in my "public reprimand" post - and I'm very glad he re-posted my message because not only did I say exactly what I wanted to say, but Mike also posted clear evidence of the effort that I had made, in private, to report what I thought was inappropriate behavior.) Or this post can be deleted by the moderators and tagged as "childish". Either way, I have no recourse other than to thank the community for the value I have received and hope only the best for those who follow. One final thought, just to make this post x-rated and thus attract a much larger audience: those who post the most are not necessarily those who know the most. Good luck.

Well, that smacked me down.

Probably you're right.

Bob.

Although you used the word recently this was more a note on the recent atmosphere here and not personally aimed at you.

Post hoc ergo propter hoc.

Great movie but the incorrect subtitles on that gif make me cringe.

I really want to thank @Big Mike for the way he has handled things, at least with respect to me. I know, or at least am 99 percent sure, that he does not agree with me on fibs, or any lines on a chart for that matter (maybe VWAP, kinda). Yet there has been no attempt to silence or censure me, no pressure, nothing, and that's really all that one can ask for in the forum moderator and site owner. In return, I have really endeavored to stay civil and focused on the issue...

In the end, I am just putting something out there I see for others to take a look at. At no point am I saying they are any kind of holy grail. I flat out said earlier that I view them at most as another form of market structure. Constructive criticism is helpful. Derogatory remarks and attacks are self-defeating.

Especially since it was a animated gif...
