Hi

Could somebody send me their chart of ES future for today(friday) showing the hours around 4 am est ? Preferably someone with a data provider other than CQG. Just want to check out things as my stop was hit exactly on that tail

Mine looked like this on 3 minute chart:



EDIT: chart has gmt +1 time, so stop is hit at 4am est

And again my SL is hit at very top of swing. Must be either unlucky today or wrong for using hard stop loss orders - even though this is far outside of RTH. Though one could argue that the lower volume at this time makes manipulation easier...

More than 100 contracts were traded @85.25, so nothing special.

If the stop @85.25 was used for more than a scalp (then it could be ok), it looks like a typical "pure" RM/MM stop.
Why? It was set completely regardless of market conditions: @85.25 is inside the last superior RTH swing (89-77) and inside of yesterday's ETH value area,
i.e. 70%+ of yesterday's prices were in that region. Setting stops that way you can close positions in advance most of the time and will be better off.

P.S.: If you consider 89-77 as a PA inside, your superior swing is 2073-89 which would make the stop @85.25 even worse.
