Is this sheet maybe more applicable????
I just need to be able to generate that in, say, june of 2005 the account grew by x% (unrealized and realized). I am so disgusted by this whole thing.

Your first attachment has the individual % return for each trade it seems, but it is missing correct dates.
Fix the dates, and then you can do it in Excel easily but simply graphing the F column "% return" grouping by month.

ok so I have made another sheet which I think fits the bill... but...
I dont know how to group the returns by month... please help
