Angela Merkel and the man looking after her for 20 years should get married and be the Queen and King of Germany. This would prevent another Hitler from taking over and causing abject poverty because of war. I believe Germany should somehow retain its dignity and pay reparations to those they have hurt for the last two world wars they caused. Extreme Greed is now sweeping the world. The Internet is a good matchmaker. It has matched up all the bad guys with encrypted communications. We have China, Russia, North Korea, and Iran getting together and will cause tremendous problems with their neighbors. The Common Market turned into a currency union with capitalist countries combining with socialist countries. The people especially in Italy have several houses and are multi-passport people with careers that span the globe, e.g., and don't like to pay taxes. One of the Italian Ministers placed police at the border of Italy to check Ferraris for moving cash to Switzerland. And on the other hand, Sicily, has 20,000 tree specialists for lumbering like they have big forests on Sicily; no, it's padding government jobs with hired fake jobs, etc. It's probably a form of socialism. But Italy is the second or third largest economy in the EU. We have actresses, actors, artists, etc. living down there on Lake Cuomo; probably a lake Caesar used to live on. This is where Leonardo Divinci painted his Mona Lisa and somehow Paris got ahold of it. It has been tumultuous competition through the ages between Paris and Italy, for artists. I think Picasso is from Italy but took up residence in Paris. The Jolly Pitts are in France. The religious head of Iran, Kymani, was sent back to Iran from France and came back to oust the King and Iran has been a nuclear state with 60 weapons labs, a breeder reactor, and possible WMDs to make what Saddam and the King of Syria who have gassed their people, look like child's play. Yes, Germany has taken Europe over for the third time and it could backslide into a Hitler type of state. Again, it needs a King and a Queen to retain its dignity. So, far it's a machine nation of very talented engineers like before World War II. It's extreme greed that caused World War II, e.g., Hitler, Tajo, and Mussolini grabbing what was not theirs. Are all the EU Belgium jobs dominated by German Politicians? I could swear half of Germany is gay and other parts of Southern Europe are families and procreators. Will the addition of Syrian workers in Europe be a good thing? I have a hard time trusting Moslems along with Don Trump. We should have some way of vetting them if they come to the U.S. What is your opinion?

Having spent much time in study of the life of Adolf Hitler, I can say with certainty that it was exactly this type of thinking that lead to hitler taking power and causing world war 2.

There is nobody left alive in Germany who is both a taxpayer and also responsible for the world wars. The only thing reparations would do at this point is cause good people to pay a price for their ancestors sins.

Causing innocent children to pay for their parents errors is not justice, it is just feel good politics.

This is a good point: But still Dr. Merkel's politics is so that german taxpayers are paying the most to the EU
maybe in feeling under historic pressure?

Anyway - Happy New Year

PS: maybe a harsh remark: US politics with having troops NOW in 148 countries around the world, delivering weapons
and ammunition, starting wars, leaving floods of refugees around the world...
A country that had never war within its own country. But made/makes disasters around the world - atomic bombs and
more: did they EVER pay for some reparation?

You miss one point - only the losing side must pay. With the US fighting against non-government groups in foreign countries, there is no scenario where they "lose" 😉

One thing the Internet does is match up transactions. And it's a super communications device. How do we stop ISIS from recruiting on the Internet? Should we allow these dark nets to exist? It has been documented in the past the Internet was used by the 9-11 Terrorists to bring down the World Trade Center. The Internet is matching up all the bad guys and allowing a synthetic group of terrorists to use our peaceful technology for war. They used our commercial jets as weapons of mass destruction. I believe its about 1/4 of every household owns a gun in America. ISIS digs under a population, gets inside of the building, kills all the inhabitants, puts them in the walls, then carries out more operations. They have done this in a number of cities in Iraq. We have to be united to stop this scourge. This net neutrality has got to go. How do we have protection with this technology when its right in your home and you have a son who has used the Internet to communicate with groups he wants to join, for example. I'm not saying this is happening to me and my kids. But, somehow this world match making device; this world communication device needs tremendous policing. What do we do to keep extreme greed groups from taking over the world??

... in several articles / essays. Here's an interview from 2012 :

George [AUTOLINK]Soros[/AUTOLINK] | George [AUTOLINK]Soros[/AUTOLINK] on the Euro Crisis

I agree with him : Eurozone will never regain balance as long as Germany remains....

Off topic, but I also think the UK should leave the EU.... (it'll be a close referendum, but we'll probably stay in).

If every country stops exporting weapons and ammunition - THEN everything will calm automatically.
And Internet is no longer a help for war(s). Stop the first wrong steps instead!
WHO is greedy now?

Right - they gain oil... and other nifty material - WHO is the looser?
But WHY are 148 other than US countries worldwide a threat for US citizens?
This can not be real. If so - every green passport should not travel/work to/for THOSE 148 countries.
Since second world war US troops are in mass stationed in Germany (example).
But in a "friends" country (G7/G8) such behaviour is ridiculous:...

OK - let us think about the term "friends".

Happy New Year 2016

How did you manage to put all that nonsense into just 11 lines? As a European I feel insulted by such an amount of ignorance.

(1) "Angela Merkel and the man looking after her for 20 years should get married and be the Queen and King of Germany. This would prevent another Hitler from taking over and causing abject poverty because of war." Angela Merel is married. Germany had a king called Kaiser Wilhelm II., who was co-responisble for the "First World War". The king was married with the grand daughter of Queen Victoria, which did not prevent the United Kingdom from entering the war.

(2) "I believe Germany should somehow retain its dignity and pay reparations to those they have hurt for the last two world wars they caused." Germany is already the paymaster of the European Union, effectively having paid hundreds of billions of Euros to other member countries. The war has ended about 70 years ago. Germany has lost a huge part of its territory. It is ridiculous to start calling for reparations now.

(3) "We have China, Russia, North Korea, and Iran getting together and will cause tremendous problems with their neighbours." The main catalysator for these countries to work together is US foreign policy. Iran is a natural ally of Russia, because both countries wish to limit the influence of Sunnis in their respective territories. China is a natural market for Russia's oil and gas.

(4)"The Common Market turned into a currency union with capitalist countries combining with socialist countries." There are no socialist countries. This is just an allegation. In the contrary, including former socialist countries in the European Union has facilitated their fast transition to democracy and stabilized the continent after the collaps of the Soviet Union. The current tension within the European Union is not caused by the former socialist countries, but by the cultural difference between the latin countries (Greece, Italy, Portugal, Spain and France) and the Northern European and Slavonic countries.

(5)"The people especially in Italy have several houses and are multi-passport people with careers that span the globe, e.g., and don't like to pay taxes." For historical reasons there is a higher percentage of people not paying taxes in Italy and Greece. Multi-passport people? For sure you do not know anything about Italy. There are a few multi-passport people living in Milano and surrounding. Otherwise most Italians will not even speak English.

(6) "And on the other hand, Sicily, has 20,000 tree specialists for lumbering like they have big forests on Sicily." What is your source please?

(7)"I think Picasso is from Italy but took up residence in Paris." He was born in Malaga in Spain and never worked in Italy.

(8) "Yes, Germany has taken Europe over for the third time and it could backslide into a Hitler type of state." Germany has not taken over Europe. And it is probably the state farthest away from a Hitler type of state. The US has come much closer to an Orwellian type police state than any of the larger European countries.

(9) "It's extreme greed that caused World War II, e.g., Hitler, Tajo, and Mussolini grabbing what was not theirs." This was not greed, but nationalism (in case of Germany the reparations and the economic crisis of 1929 were a huge catalyst). I believe that there is a difference between greed and nationalism. What about the US, where immigrants took away the land of the local population? What about the war with Mexico, where Mexico lost half of its territory. Are you talking about reparations? Or are you only pointing to other nations for paying reparations?

(10)"I could swear half of Germany is gay and other parts of Southern Europe are families and procreators." I think that you are still living in the 19th century. How backwardish can Southerners in the US be to publish such silly statements? You sound like some of the Russian or Chinese politicians.

Please do some research and stop insulting foreigners, other religious groups or minorities such as homosexuals. One of my neighbours is an Italian, another one a homosexual (who has adopted two kids) and a third one is a moslem from Kurdistan. I am friends with all of them.

@Fat Tails, well done.

I'm amazed that you had the patience or the stomach for it.
