The community is one of the friendliest you will find on any subject, with members going out of their way to help others. Some of the primary differences between futures io and other trading sites revolve around the standards of our community. Those standards include a code of conduct for our members, as well as extremely high standards that govern which partners we do business with, and which products or services we recommend to our members.

At futures io, our focus is on quality education. No hype, gimmicks, or secret sauce. The truth is: trading is hard. To succeed, you need to surround yourself with the right support system, educational content, and trading mentors Ė all of which you can find on futures io, utilizing our social trading environment.

With futures io, you can find honest trading reviews on brokers, trading rooms, indicator packages, trading strategies, and much more. Our trading review process is highly moderated to ensure that only genuine users are allowed, so you donít need to worry about fake reviews.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading sites:
  • We are here to help. Just let us know what you need.
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive in our community.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendors advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, we can help you find it.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community.  It's free and simple.

These questions are irrelevant and will have no bearing on how long it will take you to become profitable.

It just for information I think no need to be sarcastic...

Not being sarcastic, and I don't think so. @budfox has a history of randomly asking for help or questions every 3-6 months (and not appearing to heed said help).

Plus, whether someone else spent x amount of time trading isn't gonna affect how you trade. I've seen some people that are just golden and seem to do really well. So much that it makes you sick. And others who can't trade to save their lives.

Thank you for posting the video with Al Brooks.

But, sorry, I think that is your perception of my history.

emphasis on the word "appearing" (and not appearing to heed said help). I filter everyone's 2 cents, No, I do not arbitrarily apply random advice given on an internet forum by strangers.

TT is wrong, it is a very relevant question, even if the individual responses can vary all over the place and has no bearing on one particular poster's ability to become a profitable trader.

It is relevant because the average of the answers shows that it is YEARS and not a few weeks or months before someone reaches the final phase. So if a newbie comes here for the easy money and sees that we are talking years, he might reconsider and turns back saving time and money for himself.

And it doesn't matter who asked the question with what history, other traders would have asked the same question anyway...

Indeed. If there was a poll of several thousand traders, I have zero doubt the 'average' would be several years. However there is a bias in a poll like that. The bias is that only traders who ultimately became successful would reply (for the most part since that is the point of the poll). What about the tens of thousands of wannabes who spent countless years (decades?) with no success who would not be included in the results of such a poll.

Hearing only from people who ultimately became consistently profitable severely distorts the real picture and in fact makes this look easier than it is. For every 1 Big Mike, tiger trader etc there are thousands of people who you'll never hear from in such a poll. All the people who have been at this for 5, 10 etc years...

Diversification is the only free lunch

Hello Terry,

If you are indeed a profitable trader by any chance, then we would appreciate it if you could answer the questions in the study.

Thank You.

I deleted the poll. I had to research how to do such a thing, as I've never had a need to do something like this before. But this is @budfox after all, such a waste of time (read all his posts to understand).

The reason I deleted it --- it is in poor taste. You made the poll public, and I imagine most people were not aware that their usernames/selection were visible to everyone when they voted.

@budfox I should have banned you a long time ago back when you claimed it was impossible to make money trading. I've corrected that mistake as of now.

@budfox has been banned.

Someone a long time ago was incredibly generous and donated the $100 to pay for budfox's Elite Membership. He didn't even pay it himself. This information is not easy for me to locate, but if you are that person, please contact me by PM and I will refund you his membership.

Mike

Due to time constraints, please do not PM me if your question can be resolved or answered on the forum.

Need help?
1) Stop changing things. No new indicators, charts, or methods. Be consistent with what is in front of you first.
2) Start a journal and post to it daily with the trades you made to show your strengths and weaknesses.
3) Set goals for yourself to reach daily. Make them about how you trade, not how much money you make.
4) Accept responsibility for your actions. Stop looking elsewhere to explain away poor performance.
5) Where to start as a trader? Watch this webinar and read this thread for hundreds of questions and answers.
6)

This was my response to BudFox's comments about two years ago:
https://futures.io/brokers-data-feeds/28484-ironbeam-experiencing-connection-failure-around-2pm-2.html#post352153

I rarely write with such language, but BudFox was on my ignore list otherwise I would need to wake up Freud from the dead for anger management sessions.

Matt

PM with any questions about optimusfutures (800) 771-6748 (561) 367 8686. THERE IS A SUBSTANTIAL RISK OF LOSS IN FUTURES TRADING.
