I used to use CCI 18 cross +/-30 and now I am using a self developed one.

Try to play with the CCi,RSI,Stocs cross 50,Zlema/HMA change of color or any other tool you find working for you. As long that you TRADE IN THE RIGHT DIRECTON, take your profit (around 10 ticks for a 4 range chart) and you have a SL you will be OK.

Most triggers are very similar in generating the entry call (a bar early or late). The key is to wait for it AFTER a black diamond, go with the 3,14,3 DIRECTIN and have a SL in place.

Thanks for your reply TZ. I have CCI 18 on my chart now and put on a couple constant line to identify the +-30.
Thanks again
Vic

TZ,

Thanks for the info on your setups and helping us look for the trigger that works with our personality / style of trading.

I'm curious what the green box is in the lower right corner of your screenshot. What is it "tied-to"?

Thanks,
kz

Hello sukhsan,

you should have a sounds folder in the ninja directory.

something like this...

C:Program Files\NinjaTrader 6.5\Sounds

Open that and double click on the .wav files to hear which one you would like to use.

I believe if you find one i.e. "alert1", you should be able to type that into the user interface and it should work.

Otherwise, if you have a different location, tell me the path...

TZ,

Edited by Todd 2:30pm EST

Looking at your screenshot... I have a few questions..

1. Was that screenshot taken from Friday's price action? If so, your candles are definitely smoother than mine...see my picture below.
- nevermind...after looking back at price action from the week, I can see that your picture was from 7/7...that answers that.

2. It looks like you are using simple high, low, close bars...what are you using to color the candles?

3. What are the 2 moving averages shown on your chart? I see some notation at the top of your chart but the dma shown looks too fast to be 34zl/34zl.

4. You mentioned a train.wav file... if you have a train wav file, can you post it?

Thanks,
Todd

Thanks tzachi!

And Hi to everyone . . . I just found this Forum.

I traded CL for several years until the Hedge Funds got into it in January 2008 and wonder how hard it is to trade it these days with a 4-Range Bar Chart? Wouldn't price make new bars every 2-3 seconds?
