Once you get your other chart issues resolved, you may wish to consider adding DMPlusSignals_v8 (there's also an NT6.5 version). It will automatically insert an EMA line and place the appropriate Perry Method 1 or 2 long and short entry points on it (I'm only using Method 1). You can also configure it for sound alerts.

That's the bomb, hunter! I'll be using Method 1 only as well. And I was just talking to someone about wanting to load the sound alerts and began thinking about how crazy I will make them. And I see you layered the Sharkband as well. I began reading Sharky's Classroom thread and of all the indicators mentioned--and there are a lot--that was the one that intrigued me and wondered how to incorporate it into Perry's system. I'm stoked. Thanks so much.

But could I trouble you to mark-up your chart a bit and tell me exactly how you use it? Lastly, could I trouble you to post the parameters of your indicators because I just don't trust my chart otherwise. I use NT 7, too.

Again, A VERY BIG THANK YOU.

I'm rereading your post because I can't really believe it. Is this really true? LOL

I had to go to a cached copy of the page searching with Google , to find DMPlusSignals_v8...maybe it was edited out?

I procrastinated for hours yet it took merely a moment to implement your suggestion (), bringing new meaning to the expression "newbie".

That said, the issue appears to be some incorrect adjustment I'm making in the "parameters" because the default version of the Force Index looks fine.

Meanwhile I'm going to begin posting all of my indicators with accompanying parameters, Perry, and humbly request you to take a quick look-see to ensure that I'm not missing or haven't overlooked anything, which I'm certain I did. It was a tiny bit confusing for me when the platform evolved away from the initial indicators listed in the first few posts. And I don't want to begin trading on the Sim, which I will be taking very seriously, until I'm confident my chart is lined up correctly.

Many, many thanks in advance.

Shalom and good Shabbos in Rechovot.

Please take it one at a time. With the CLEAN chart you added the Force Index. Change the FI to the correct parameters i.e. EMA 13 on either the fast or the slow. Make the other line transparent. Then make the DASH Style = DASH, and the PLOT style = HASH and Width = 90

Now if the FI shows up correctly, start adding ONE indicator at a time. After you add one indicator, see if the FI stays the same. By adding one at a time we will then be able to see which indicator is causing the problem.

Let me know your findings

Thank you for your response.

I'm sorry I wasn't clear in my earlier email. When I open the default FI, it doesn't look like everyone else's. Yes, it looks fine but doesn't resemble the FI on your charts. Then when I begin to alter the parameters, it begins to look unrecognizable. I have those settings that you have indicated above and will reflect them in a separate chart. But I'm certain that the issue is with additional settings I made. That's why I'd like to compare them to a printshot of the correct settings and then I would know immediately what the issue is.

Many thanks in advance.

If you have a clean chart with ONLY the FI indicator as I prescribed above, there should be no other settings. Show me this chart only with FI on it.

Try using the attached indicator.
