Gulabv,

I would review Perry's trading rules, examples and SIM trade for practice.
The method is potentially very powerful on its own.

Regarding my variations, I'm not deviating from the rules. The addition of color is only meant to reinforce and remind me of what the MASlopeBoxMulti indicator is telling me.

As for the OBVDiver, click on the word (original post) and you can read a thread all about it.
This indicator can possibly show divergence or agreement with a move, thereby reinforcing a trade according to the rules.

Since all of the indicators on template are price based, I found OBVDiver complimentary.

Ignore it if you find it confusing. Original template and rules are quite effective on their own.

I actually did delete the old one cos I know that I can not import any new indicators if there is one "stuck int he system" so to speak. After your post I checked to folder just to make sure and it is definitely not in there.
SO that is weird.
Doppio

Hi Doppio, I was also trying to install the jtrangmaker_nj6_5.zip
and had same error message and problem (since I am on NT7). Did you ever get a solution to this? Help appreciated, thanks, gh

Thanks Perry for a great thread.
So well thought out & explained that even an old fool like myself can follow easily.

no but all indicators are available in SC you just need to spend time to put them together. Time well spent I think.

You are most welcome Joe. To import a template, simply add it to the Chart folder, ie

My Documents\NinjaTrader 6.5\templates\Chart

Right-click on a chart, select Templates, then Load and select the name of the template.

Beth

Hi Beth
I wonder if you would be kind enough to help me. I cant find the \templates\Chart folder you mention within any of the folders contained in the NinjaTrader 6.5 folder. It must be there somewhere because I have saved my own chart setups as templates and loaded them up OK but cant see the folder they save into.

Respectfully

Ken Logan

Hi Ken

The Chart folder is a sub-folder of templates, ie

My Documents\NinjaTrader 6.5\templates\Chart

I wonder if you might be looking for it under Program Files where it also has a NinjaTrader 6.5 folder.

Good luck!

Beth

This method and set-up is very sound. In comparison to the original Boomerang system, how does it compare as in performance profitability?

If they are very similar, and cost was not a factor, which method would everyone prefer?

This method has nothing to do with the Boomerang system, as it is different in all aspects of trading i.e. entry and exit. This system is very methodical in its approach to price action.
