Hi Guys,

I want to ask you about news feeds.

I need inexpensive solution that will allow me to capture the mood of what is going on on the market. I am not trading the news, but I want to know fast what just had happened on the market so all charts became crazy at the moment.
I have IB, I am subscribed to Reauters feed in IB. Questions are :

1. Can I orginise ( or somebody already did this ) a window that shows news in a timely manner.
2. Is it possible to get news events from IB TWS API ?

I know that iqFeed has this but it is a bit expensive considering that I don't need fast news, I just need those in reasonable time limits.

I watch MarketWatch but this is inconvinient and they are too slow with news updates.

What do you guys use ?
Any developments in this area? May be indicators for NinjaTrader ?

Ideally, I need Bloomberg terminal but not that sofisticated

P.S. I am a programmer, so feel free and shoot technicals ...

Wow, thanks mate !
That is probably what I need.

Quick question ( before I take a deep look ) does it display news as well ? not only Calendar.

And, how good is this ForexFactory news "feed", are they fast enough ?

Have a look at this post of mine which references where the indi is that displays on the chart panel.

I am using it every day - have been since I made the original post and have had no issues.

Hi Traders,

I am searching for a good and free solution to obtain push news.
Its not my favour to add a news indicator on the chart cause of space.

Someone knows a good source for a free standalone app with push integrated news releases?

I did searched the web but found only pay apps or apps like jtEconNewsReader which arenīt suited my preference.

I don't need fast news, I just need those in reasonable time limits.

If a 5 minute delay is reasonable, try Zerohedge breaking news - First for FX News which is free. Otherwise, you can pay 20 GBP per month, which is the cheapest available for a retail news feed, and get real time news.
