looking for a system generating $150 - $200 profit/ day/contract
I did and was surprised to see so many members eager to post a comment to such a simple but naive question. Considering there are +/- 61k members i suppose the number is OK. It's not like in the journal contest thread where only a 1 out of 1000 bothered to click the "thank you" button. Curious is it not?
If you ARE interested in using automated: Cannon Trading offers a plethra of them.
There are also tons of vendors who sell them. To repeat an earlier post, just google key word.
THis is not a reccomendation nor a condemnation.
I have never used automated.
If I were asked to speculate the potential profitability in regards to an automated system, i would fall on the cynical side of the spectrum.
If you DO decide to throw your hard earned money at a system, please detail your experiences here, as i, for one would like to hear about your experience.
Keep in mind while researching "systems" that the profitability claims while using that system are most likely based on back testing.
Back testing will not reflect real time fils in a real time trading enviroment.
As some of the more welcoming posts said, trading takes a lot of studying and homework and Tolerance for RISK.
You will need at least a basic understanding of fundamentals. You will also need a detailed understanding of technical analysis. If you are not ready to devote yourself and you don't have money to burn you should save your cash.
