I only pay for Kinetick data feed, 75$ per month with CME waiver program still running and that's all.
Of course I do not count internet, electricity, hardware depreciation, and trading platform depreciation (NT7 lifetime license), etc...

Data/news subscriptions (some shared), trading execution software costs and hardware upgrade accruals.

People should probably also include if they have a 50CENT additional per trade cost if they use a certain softwares like X-Trader with some brokers.

I would count that as commission so it's excluded.

I just pay the CME fees, but the Rithmic charges on each round trip really add up if you break them out and compare them to other, flat rate data charges.

Use Sierra Charts package 3 for free on the deal through AMP with TT data feed.

I also have NT Direct Edition (an early version that does include ChartTrader).

Excludes Internet, electricity and amortisation of my PC and screens.

Can you elaborate? What are the other "Flat Rate Data Fees"? As far as I know, all data fees that are executable (routing) are variable cost per transaction.

The "other" data fees that I am aware of that are actually flat (DTN IQ, etc), are non executable and used for data only.

Matt

I would actually like to know if there is any correlation between the money being spent and trading success. What is the annual average return ( as a percentage of trading capital) for each of groups? Said more simply; if people spending no money are losing their shirts and those spending a lot are making piles of money--well that would be something to know. Knowing how many people are frugal on Big Mikes may be interesting, but it is not that useful.

I voted over $1000 but my highest trading expense is my office. I rent an office down town for $1150/mo. I have a one and a half year old running around and it's not as easy to focus in that environment so I decided to rent office space. Best move I ever made I love trading from the peace and quiet of my office. I pay around $110 for data.
