Hello everyone.

Which in your opinion would be the best platform for Paper trading. I have looked at think or swim etc, but they give you fills which seem a little too hard to believe.

Thanks for all help.

Interactive Brokers offer a paper trading account with full platform when people open up an account with them.

It probably is one of the best out there.

TT Sim has been quite good.... results are similar to what you might see in real life

i havent compared it myself to other plattform but i often heard that NinjaTrader has one of the best + most realistic SIM-orderhandling if you trade manualy.

(not meaning with backtesting, thats seems to be problematic )

Thanks for your answers.

I have been using NinjaTrader to scalp the CL/GC/TF with more emphasis on the CL and have had amazing results. Out of 20 trading days, only 1 losing day, and one net losing day.

On CL i noticed that sometimes my order gets filled and then i am immediately in the money by a 2 - 3ticks. Since i have my first contract exiting with 3 - 5 ticks to minimize risk on position and ride second contract, i am very happy with this. However, not sure that this would be something i would see in real time.. may be Mike can comment on this :-)

Just make sure you've set the sim engine to realistic delays and such in the Control Center - Tools - Options menu. Make sure the roundtrip ms delay is realistic for your computer and internet connection and broker combination.

Other than that, keep in mind NT sim engine is just a sim engine. Real fills are almost always worse. You will get slippage, you will not get filled, etc.

Mike

Thanks Mike.

I have my Delay comm. set to 75, delay exchange to 150, wait for data to 20 (all msec).

Is this acceptable.
