Welcome to futures io.

(If you already have an account, login at the top of the page)

futures io is the largest futures trading community on the planet, with over 90,000 members. At futures io, our goal has always been and always will be to create a friendly, positive, forward-thinking community where members can openly share and discuss everything the world of trading has to offer. The community is one of the friendliest you will find on any subject, with members going out of their way to help others. Some of the primary differences between futures io and other trading sites revolve around the standards of our community. Those standards include a code of conduct for our members, as well as extremely high standards that govern which partners we do business with, and which products or services we recommend to our members.

At futures io, our focus is on quality education. No hype, gimmicks, or secret sauce. The truth is: trading is hard. To succeed, you need to surround yourself with the right support system, educational content, and trading mentors – all of which you can find on futures io, utilizing our social trading environment.

With futures io, you can find honest trading reviews on brokers, trading rooms, indicator packages, trading strategies, and much more. Our trading review process is highly moderated to ensure that only genuine users are allowed, so you don’t need to worry about fake reviews.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading sites:
  • We are here to help. Just let us know what you need.
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive in our community.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendors advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, we can help you find it.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community.  It's free and simple.

Especially when you see a bunch of bullshit like they are trading 10 lots and have a 95% win ratio with a 5 tick stop and 50 tick target. The more I think about it the more I want to ban these douchebags.

Mike

Well, that one's pretty clear !

(And who I thought you had in mind when I first saw this thread.)

LOL...

It seems as though that individual has sold 10 lot at the high...probably covered and long from 1866. I'm sure we will see posts to that effect if they are not already out there....It is an amazing call however.

I believe it was a 4 tick (one handle) stop though...plenty wide to let winners go in ES.

Maybe I'm missing something, but why is the CME opposed to you doing something that may be beneficial to tracking progress or competition? And what exactly is their role or say in you proposing such a competition or software? I thought they only provide the data but I could be wrong. Is there a thread about this?

No thread. It's all about the data, and they won't let me run a contest without me paying data fees for each user in the contest.

Due to time constraints, please do not PM me if your question can be resolved or answered on the forum.

Need help?
1) Stop changing things. No new indicators, charts, or methods. Be consistent with what is in front of you first.
2) Start a journal and post to it daily with the trades you made to show your strengths and weaknesses.
3) Set goals for yourself to reach daily. Make them about how you trade, not how much money you make.
4) Accept responsibility for your actions. Stop looking elsewhere to explain away poor performance.
5) Where to start as a trader? Watch this webinar and read this thread for hundreds of questions and answers.

You can exclude certain subforums. Click 'New Posts' on top of futures.io (formerly BMT), then on top right you'll see a "Filter subforums listed" button. It is mainly useful if you want to not see threads from forums that don't apply to you, I wouldn't exclude the announcements subforum which is where this thread is.

If you've read the entire thread, then you know that I am trying to protect the integrity of the forum.

Your last few posts do nothing but make the situation worse instead of trying to improve it.

This should be a non issue. It's not that hard to look at a chart and see that the miracle trade probably didn't happen. Otherwise people sharing what they see or think they see and sharing what they know or think they know can be taken with a grain of salt by the viewers.
There is, or has been a great willingness by some to offer help to others in their journey to learn how to trade successfully. That spirit should be encouraged at all costs and not degenerate into negativity.

Proof

I think the best way too prevent all this BS is with Bigmikes intervention, Bigmike has too ask them too show the charts with plot executions on and if it is posted on the journal section, elite or normal, then the journal has too include all the trades including losers.

If no reaction from the thread starter then just close the thread. IŽam against banning members, I think this will give the site a bad impression. There is nothing wrong with someone posting trades as long as he is posting all the truth including losers.

This won't address the problem. Most people here use NinjaTrader, it's easy to use Market Replay and mock up any chart the way you want it.
