Well, now that the thread is open...
My ex-wife, let me tell you... Being on good terms is almost worse. Last time she called, I was trading and her call ripped me away from my train of thought, which was to place my stop loss. Market dropped unexpectedly and I watched it go negative as I was stuck on the phone.
By the time I politely ended the conversation, my position was in the red $x,xxx .....NEVER, and I mean NEVER EVER again do I answer the phone while trading!
Phone goes on silent now, ALL DAY long.
We have a kid together, so sometimes I do have to talk to her.
Zero distractions while trading/scalping!!!!!
Can't blame her 100% for the mistake, but for now on, I do not answer the phone till the stop is placed.
