Exported using NT Version 7.0.1000.7
This indicator is an old version and there will be no more maintenance. All the features have now been integrated with the SessionPivots indicator that can be downloaded here:

do you only use IB Data or do your realtime data come via Kinetick?
As IB delivers only minute data history, you cannot construct tick-based charts (like range bars etc.) from that (except from snapshot tick data with "history" for times when you are online with an instrument).
@cory: Thank you for pointing to the indicator, but it is an old version which I have no longer maintained. The volatility bands are now integrated with the SessionPivots V42 indicator which can be found here:
Exported using NT Version 7.0.1000.26
Indicators will only run on NT 7.0.1000.5 or later.
Family of 6 indicators to display daily, weekly and monthly pivots and OHL of current day, current week and current month. The package includes
- anaPivotsDailyV43
- …
The three OHL indicators can be used to plot daily, weekly and monthly ranges. Ranges can be plotted for the full trading day or for a subsession of the trading day, such as the night session or the regular session. The indicator can be used with FOREX without any limitations.
What is important to get correct results is the choice of the session template. For FOREX instruments you would need
- to select the session template FOREX or set your chart to the session template <instrument settings> to display the correct daily, weekly and monthly ranges.
Example 1: Here is a sample chart for $EURUSD. The data box displays the average daily noise and average daily range for the last 20 days, the last 10 days and the current day. The 20-day average was 82.5 pips, the 10-day average 76.5 pips, the current day's range so far is 49.5 pips.
Example 2: The average monthly range for $EURUSD was 352 pips for the last 3 months, and 398 pips for the last 6 months. The range of the current month is 268 pips so far.
Example 3: I am now interested in the average range for $EURUSD for the US session starting at 8:00 AM EST. The average range for $EURUSD during the New York session is between 55 and 58 pips. Today's range so far is 46 pips. The lower target band is drawn based on the range expectation. For this chart a session template with a subdivided trading day is required.
Thanks for the help all! I do in fact have a data feed from Kinetick as well as IB. I downloaded and applied the newer version by FT (THANK YOU!) and it works like a charm.
