keep in mind java now owned by oracle, it will be updated the way oracle wants it to go.

I set java to do not update/remind but guess what? Oracle has placed an expiration date on their Java versions so now it still ask to update regardless of what setting you have.

Hopefully they are so embarrassed by having to fix the major security cock-ups that it will be a more stable product in future. It's certainly been stable and good for me on latest updates (and for my lad who's made a handwriting recognition program in it on a Nexus 7 using functional approximations and some machine learning techniques for his college project under Eclipse, blew me away!)

Pah! Having said that one came in today that says its Update 45 but won't verify under Firefox and then when I remove it with the Windows Uninstaller it says its version 25! Might be nothing but as far as I can tell from an hours play I don't need it on the trading box anyway so it's gone...
