(3) Unzip the file UniRenkoBarsType.cs and copy it to the folder Documents -> NinjaTrader 7 -> bin -> Custom -> Type.
(4) Restart NinjaTrader.
With a bit of luck you will now be able to select UniRenko bars as a bar type for your charts.
All custom bars need to be registered. The UniRenko bars are registered as PeriodType.Custom5. In case that you have already installed another custom bar type, which is registered as PeriodType.Custom5, this will create a conflict and you may not be able to use the UniRenko bars. In that case you need to edit the UniRenkoBarsType.cs file and change the selection Custom5 to something else.
The following 2 users say Thank You to Fat Tails for this post:
I am using another type of Renko bars -MedianRenkobars- but I would like to compare their behavior/performance with the "UniRenkobars".
Yet, I am trying to create my own private type of real (not "virtual") Renko bars (I call them G1Renko bars) based on "other" real time info/data.
Thanks anyway for your post.

Need help? 1) Stop changing things. No new indicators, charts, or methods. Be consistent with what is in front of you first. 2) Start a journal and post to it daily with the trades you made to show your strengths and weaknesses. 3) Set goals for yourself to reach daily. Make them about how you trade, not how much money you make. 4) Accept responsibility for your actions. Stop looking elsewhere to explain away poor performance. 5) Where to start as a trader?
