After the crash that is happening on the Shanghai index in China, I wanted to review the circuit breaker methodology for the S&P 500. I think this methodology from April 8, 2013 is still in effect.

Just wanted to add that if the first two levels are hit, it means a 15 minute trading halt each, and if the last 20% level is hit markets will be closed until the next trading day.

Notice that came out due to the NYSE halt: Currently the Daily Price Limit for all CME Group US Equity Index futures have been reduced from 7% down to 5% up and down, due to the technical halt at the NYSE.
