What is "club manual", WCCI manual? CCI actually can work if used with the usual PA and trend rules like any other mom indicator. Martin used to be a regular in Woodies CCI Room and followed WCCI (I believe still is) with a focus on trading stocks and options off 60 min charts. Very nice guy.

Yes, that's the manual I was referring to. Actually I was looking forward to Martin's webinar because I had been disillusioned by cci in the past as I mentioned. Maybe that sentiment didn't come across in my post. Then you had controversy about Woodies as I'm sure anyone can easily find out on the net.

I was interested in his take on CCI, and I wasn't disappointed and greatly enjoyed the webinar and his solid clear rules on using CCI.

My previous site instructor on CCI was too flaky with rules about it. Sure we had the 100,200 etc. level CCI too, but just "fuzzy" setups and "instinctual" "discretionary" rules. Similar use of using trendlines on the oscillator itself, but Martin was much more clear about it.

Testing CCI vs my usual method on paper as we speak. I still remember the first dog that bit me. If I get the energy will post the results.

Been bitten by a lot of dogs.

Mike, I had two adaptive CCI indicators in my library, one with an underscore the other without and opened the wrong one the first time.

Works nicely. Thanks again.

Took the trade on the Sim even though the lower histogram was not -150 because of the dual doji and hammer on Support 1. So far so good.

ETA: I'm in on the two-week trial.

LOL not wasting anytime, let us know what you think of the trial, would like to check it out if I had time, if not for futures but stocks on a daily time frame.

@plethora,

Here's another version of the CCI that might be a bit better than the older version I referred you to yesterday.

Obviously I didn't send my CCI_nexusfi.com (formerly BMT)Elite indicator through the Quality Control fellas before posting it. There was an error causing the colors to be set to 0,0,0,0 after reloading a saved chart. Got that fixed and reposted at

If my memory is right, the lose definition of classic CCI is - it measure the distance of price from the given simple moving average. So, if CCI length is set to 20 every time the price crosss the simple moving average of 20 the CCI will also cross the zero line. It is might be easier to to see the divergance, mean reversion, trend on CCI then simple moving average. Trading with CCI is a version of trading using moving average.
