What does a trader's wife do?

I mean let's face it, trading is not like a regular job, veterans make a fortune so here comes the question if you are doing well, what is your wife doing? Having a regular job makes no sense.

Is is she a house-wife or trades too? A singer, an actress or a model?

If none of the above what does she do and what is the ideal choice for a trader?

Why wouldn't a regular job make no sense? People can also work for having friendly colleagues, doing something useful (i.e., making a contribution), experiencing different things and not sitting at home all day, and learning new things.

I'm not sure if we traders have a say in what kind of job our wife or girlfriend should take? That does not sound like a respectful way to treat your significant other.

I my experience it is an exception for someone to like a daily job. Besides you work to make money. Why work for someone else for little money when your husband makes 20x you do?

It's not a question about how you should change your significant other but where are the good chances of finding a women with matching attributes.

My honest congrats if you really do.

Maybe you can draw a picture of the 'perfect trader's wife' with all 'matching attributes' for us, I'm really curious...

Ideal choice for a traders mates proffession? I think thats your question . Most women dont define themselves by their proffession or work so money may not have the same meaning as it does to men . Ask a man "what do you do ?" and they'll tell you about their vocation . Ask a woman the same question and they'll tell you about their convictions, likes and beliefs . I'm an investor more than a trader since my goa l(which so far im meeting ) is to build my retirement account and I derive my income by other means . In other words , I work , for myself , as does my wife . We both have our own businesses doing what we enjoy so I think thats the answer to your question , do what you enjoy .

So you say, it doesn't matter as long as she likes it?

Well, IMHO the only indispensable attitude a trader's wife has to bring in is the serious acceptance of trading as a job / profession and the serious respect for you as a trader and your (more or less) hard working life at home.

All other things would be really irrelevant to me.

I happen to see that racers (MX) tend to have very decorative babes. While a lot of traders I know tend to have a low-key partner. I assume you don't want to have a girlfriend who tries to be overly dominant or too sensitive(?) but someone who makes your life easier so you can trade as a "whole" man.
