Hello, does anyone know about "the Langford method"? It is a very basic way to trade stocks, using only a few popular indicators. The whole thing was created by Charles K. Langford, a well known professional with years of experience in the markets. He's written a few books, teaches at a local University and also offers paid courses and seminars.

In a nutshell, he encourages people to use the following indicators and parameters:

MACD 7,27,7
EMA 7,27 (mentions 3,24 for day trading)
RSI 14
STO 14/1/3/1 (not sure about this one)

I have been practicing using his method for the past year now, and so far it's been working well.

I'm wondering if there are any traders here that have heard of this method and/or have any experience with it. I realize that most of you seem to follow different markets than TSX/NYSE/etc. so this might be a shot in the dark. In any case, I'm looking to automate the whole thing with NinjaTrader!

Stocastics imputs can't be right... 14/1/3/1 you can only imput three sets of numbers.

Hi, just an update. I stopped working on automating the method, as time was a factor (along with lack of interest working with NinjaTrader). For now, I am trading manually, and it's going well.
