Hey guys. I have a question which I have wanted to ask of knowledgeable trader for some time now. I am hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction. How would and average joe go about setting up an array of HPC s
to process 100-250, 500, and/or 750-1000 trades on any given instrument at a time?

I think that you have to rephrase your question. What would you achive? What means "at a time" exactly?

But i can say that you 1. can't make it with NT7 and 2. can't make it from Hawaii.

As I understand it, It's more effective to rent a server near the exchange.

What I mean is I would like to be able to trade a high number of trades(contracts) on any given instrument. I would like to have computers with enough processing power, ram and hard drive space to allow such trades into the 100's and low thousands of contracts.
I would also like back up systems to allow redundancy.

A quick Google search and I found tons of solutions.. like..

I think the ability to get in and out with a large amount of contracts would depend more on the liquidity of the market you are trading and not your cpu processing speed. Search for the hardware lust thread. There are a lot of examples of peoples computer setups there. What is your ping time to Aurora Ill from Hawaii?
