Ignore feature -- Should I use? or shouldn't?

Ignore feature -- Should I use? or shouldn't? If someone is giving a good advice (insight) but this really hurts our ego (as we all know the truth hurts) should we listen or should we just click on the username to the left of every post, and use that Ignore option. What do you think?
