Ron Paul To Have Special Announcement On The Jay Leno Show - 3rd Party Run?!
As I said, this has already been discussed among the Ronulans. The deadline for the ballot filing you mentioned is before the RNC and DNC conventions for each state. If RP was going to do this, as you pointed out, there's no way he could have done it quietly. He'd have to tip his hand before the RNC convention.
Now, given that the RNC screwed him out of even being nominated, I'm not sure if there's some legal recourse, but either way, just like Obama's birth certificate, once the ship has sailed, it's a little late to start talking about legalities.
The 2012 election is over for RP. The only thing I can see concerning it is if he's able to run as Gary Johnson's VP, which I'm not familiar with the filing requirements and if a candidate is required to have chosen their VP at the filing deadline.

@RM99 - Would you happen to have any links etc that explains that?... Near the end of vid in my post he was asking if there was any written rules etc on this issue - thanks
"Many states accomplish the same requirement by having simultaneous registration dates for the primary and the general election; in fact only the states of Connecticut, Iowa, New York and Vermont don't have either a sore-loser law or simultaneous registration deadlines.[2]" Wikipedia
Assuming you trust wikipedia as a source. Essentially, if even 1/10th of the states feature an obstacle to getting on the ballot, it's a busted deal.
I am however curious if Ron Paul can be on Gary Johnson's ticket as the VP....which would be VERY insteresting and enough to cause the Republicans to lose sleep at night.

At the very least, it would make things a lot easier for Obama to win. I would rather have Obama that Romney. I would rather have Ron Paul than any of them.
Not for long, the Democrats have planted the seeds that will bear fruit...sooner rather than later.
90% of the increase in Texas population from 2000-2010 were minorities.
People think that Democrats actually care about immigrants, but the reality is they know that if they can flood the electorate with uneducated, low income Americans who are prone to vote for social welfarists....it's simply a matter of mathematics and time.
When 49% of the voters don't pay a dime in taxes and 4% of the voters pay HALF the taxes, and 1 in 5 Americans are employees of the government at some level, it's only a matter of time.
Americans are discovering that they can simply vote themselves benefits with other people's money......(of course this is only possible when we ignore the Constitution, which we clearly have at this point).
We're seeing the dying throws of the GOP. Social conservatives, although still motivated and stout on issues like gay marriage in a plurality of states, are getting monkey stomped on issues with respect to welfare and spending....throw in the unions (public AND private) and it's a system that's simply unwinnable in the future for fiscal conservatives.
Throw in the Census data that shows that liberals and welfare statists are outbreeding fiscal conservatives at an ALARMING rate. After all, it's much easier to have 4 kids if you don't feel the full financial burden and in many cases, you're REWARDED for having more children.
So chin up TMFT....we're destined to become socialist as long as half the American population isn't killed in a 3rd World War in the middle East or some "Contagion" type disaster doesn't reshape demographics.

I'm not so sure Mike. I think that GJ would need 15% of the major polls in order to be included in the debates. If GJ could participate in the debates, you might be surprised how well he would do.
There are a TON of Democrats who hate Obama, but cannot bring themselves to vote for a Republican. There are a TON of fiscal conservatives who could pass or stay on Romney.
GJ/RP might actually be the first non-Democrats to compete for California since Reagan.
Combine the anti-war sentiments, and the anti-drug war and you might see shocking results.
This however assumes that the other 2 parties simply wouldn't steal the election through vote fraud (which is almost a certainty). George Soros for example, owns the company that's making the vote counting machines for Wisconsin. Republicans have already been caught red handed in FL in 2000 with vote stealing algos.

Libertarians correctly identify the existence of a “socially liberal, fiscally conservative” block of the population whose needs aren’t met by the Republicans and Democrats. But then they stake out positions that are well to the right of the Republicans on fiscal policy and somewhat to the left of Democrats on social policy. Libertarians might land in the correct ideological "sector" for these voters, but their extremism makes them unpalatable.
For example, Johnson calls for balancing the budget not years down the road but in 2013, by cutting $1.4 trillion in spending. Asked how to do this, he doesn’t hedge about waste, fraud and abuse. Instead he says frankly, “You have to start the discussion with Medicaid, Medicare and military spending.”
Johnson wants to cut military spending by 30 percent and Medicare by 43 percent. He's hopeful that some of these savings could come from making the programs more efficient. But he admits that much of the savings would come from a real reduction in benefits. Johnson contends there is no alternative to sharp cuts on Medicare benefits, unless we expect “Santa Claus” to foot the bill.
This is far from a consensus matter. While Johnson warns of impending “monetary collapse” if America does not immediately balance its budget, the bond markets show no sign of panic. Most Americans correctly perceive that fiscal policy changes can be much more gradual and less draconian than Johnson proposes. And cuts to Medicare and (especially) Medicaid are among the least popular options to fix the federal budget .
Johnson’s platform is radical all-around. He would abolish corporate and individual income taxes in favor of the Fair Tax . He would have allowed large banks to fail in 2008. He says the housing crisis has been prolonged because home prices did not fall far enough and there were not enough foreclosures.
I'm just a simple man trading a simple plan.
My daddy always said, "Every day above ground is a good day!"
Well, I'm sure the bond markets are a grad A indication of the danger. Everyone knows that bond markets will signal a long slow warning (as opposed to a rapid loss of confidence combined with massive dump of US debt). As we've all seen, the markets never react harshly or overreact....they always sort things out sensibly and with enough time to correct fundamental weaknesses.....RIGHT....
