I have always been a price & volume trader, using only a very few indicators. Studying Al Brooks' Reading Price Charts Bar by Bar, was a little confusing with his notation. I wanted a table of bar patterns listed by name. Nick B does this in a form that was closer to to what I wanted.
Although much simplified in this document (and also a sales device) Nick B has simple and concise discussion for several tradeable bars & bar patterns. The section on Long Wicked Patterns is explained in terms of Bull and Bear pressure; along the lines of Brooks' discussion of understanding who is in control and how that indicates the probability of a tradeable price movement.
Nick's section on Grouping Patterns reminded me of Brook's discussion of Barbed Wire and why not to touch it. He then follows up with a basic section on entering position and calculating targets.
I really like the clarity of his presentation and suggest a perusal.
I was just wondering outloud: if enough of Big Mike comunity entered it increases the odd of someone winning one. Free is good. Probably all end up on a sales list...
