Experience with Ninja Trader, MB Trading, and customer service
I am currently trading spot Forex on TOS via TD Ameritrade. This has been going well so far. I own a multi-broker license for Ninja Trader. I would like to use Ninja for forex as well, but I want a reliable broker. I know some people are using MB and Ninja here on the forum. What are your experiences? Have you had to deal with customer service for any Ninja related problems?
I had a bad customer support experience with them a while back on a demo account. I had a problem placing trades through Ninja and they would not assist me at all. After Ninja support determined the problem was on MB’s server, MB customer service still would not address the issue because I was trading on the Ninja Trader platform.
I have been looking into FXCM, but they have a pretty large spread.
I received this response from MB (2x) even after I submitted the Ninja Support email stating it was a problem with the MB server:

Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I use MBT & Ninja. This is typical response. Each of them blaming the other for why it is not working. It is a strange partnership they have.... Ironically I received the same type of response when I was with IB. I think the brokers reluctantly work with NT.
The good:
The spread. Lowest I have seen. During the day the spread for the euro is around 1 pip or less.
Market orders are instant with very little slippage.
They pay you for limit orders.
Decent customer support. All account related issues have been answered quickly and they are very nice about it. I use the chat option and they are very responsive. Every question I have ever asked they have been able to answer.
No non activity fees. This is a plus if you are developing a system.
Demo accounts galore! I have 7 demo accounts for my testing. The executions are pretty close to actual live fills.
The bad:
if there is a problem between NT and MBT each will try to blame the other for the issue.
Rollover!! If you are running a strategy it will sometimes die during rollover. They are suppose to fix this with the next major release although they didnt say which release this might be. could be NT8 or NT15.
If you are using them as a primary data feed I would suggest going with Kinetick or some other feed. MBT data feed during news events is all over the board. <-- I have not used MBT data in over a year. They may have fixed it by now.
Disconnects. This could have been my ISP but I would get disconnected all the time. When I went to a trading server the disconnects stopped. Take this one for what it is worth.
This one is on the NT side: they do not support OCO orders. This means the cancelation of stops is kept on your local machine until a trade is executed. If you are not careful you will have a naked stop out you didnt know about execute a trade.
Overall I give them 4 out of 5 stars. Get the rollover issue fixed and a more reliable data feed then I would give them 5 stars.

Thank you very much for that response--great job! Very helpful. I will have to reconsider them.
I will have to defend Ninja on this one though. They actually helped me out right away. They investigated the issue with my platform--looked at my data file. MB would not do anything, even after I gave them the Ninja support information, I got the same answer. Funny, a sales rep called me a few days later about my demo account. He seemed upset about what happened. He told me he would look into it, but I never got a call back....lol
