I find it hard to believe, how is that legal ! They are putting the retail traders at a disadvantage legally.
How can they make such laws which are like day light robbery.

The game is rigged against retail day trading much more than people realize.

50 years ago, you would get a bad fill too. Just for different reasons. I am not sure I would reach the conclusion it is rigged. It's just our society, powerful/rich/influential etc people always find a way to profit from the less knowledgeable/average/less powerful person.

I don't lose sleep over HFT, and I certainly don't blame HFT for any of my trading losses.

If you are worried about HFT then don't be a scalper and don't trade equities where they are more pronounced.

I don't mean rigged in the sense that it can't be beat.

The game can be beat but it isn't easy, and the behind-the-scenes handicap is greater than people imagine. And of course, everybody's loss is their own.

I moved to a daily timeframe, and I am very happy with it. I get to work at another job while still trading. And instead of HFTs ripping me off for say 15% of my profits, I get ripped for 1% or less.

You are never in the wrong place... but sometimes you are in the right place looking at things in the wrong way.
