For those running a row of monitors on top of the usual desk height monitors, do you spend a lot of time looking at the upper level of monitors, or are they just for windows that you quickly glance at? If you do spend a lot of time looking up, does it bother your neck?

I've got 3 monitors at the typical desk height with my eyes level with the top edge of the screen. Just added a fourth out to the side. Thinking about putting it up top, but seems like I'd be straining my neck to look up for more than just a quick glance.

I run a quadrant of monitors. Have charts that I only need to glance up at every so minutes. I have got some neck issues and lower back that a roller and daily yoga sessions aren't even fixing.

Will be migrating to a stand up desk soon.

@Zefi what size are those 4? And please update when you get a standing desk with a review of it. Would be really helpful.

No pain, no bother. I have my bottom row mounted almost flush to the desk though so the upper row is ~2" lower than some and I still only put secondary stuff up there. A chat and markets I am not as active in.

I believe they're 24 inch.

Will send the review soon, getting it at the end of March.

Cheers

Picked up one of these recently and it's a killer monitor, currently discounted at Newegg.com (with promo code)

I'm a 3-monitor set up guy and this one essentially makes two monitors in one, thus expanding the viewing area to four screens with just three monitors.
