ROFL...those Benz car seats are nice, those old ones used to be hard not sure on the newer ones. I think they have softened them up.

BTW Hammerhorn, where did you get yr PC rig above and what was the final price?

Got to love how guys think.

Muchos gracias

Sorry for not getting back sooner, got the damn flu and now getting caught back up for a while now.

I got the seat for $30 dollars at the local scrap and pull. Found a newer smart phone under it too, which works fine. Gave it to my 3 year old for him to act like his mother.

Will take a pic of the seat when it is all done. I am using it now and loving it, but I need to add arm rests soon. I am going to take 1 3/8" galvanized pipe (for chain link top rail) and bend it from the back to the bottom. Then mount polished oak on top of the painted matte black pipe.

I did screw up on mounting the base. The back of the seat weighs 30 to 40 lbs and I was concerned with the center of gravity so I shifted the seat center (based on the original store bought seat center for the base) back. I was concerned with the chair falling when rocking back. It was also an easier place to weld due to the existing steel.

What actually happened is that it was very, very hard to rock back. Solved this by grinding down the existing adjustable compression spring to reduce its strength. Not an ideal solution.

The next chair I plan on welding two pieces of heavy steel to the bottom that will have adjustable slots for bolting the base to the chair. No more guessing where the best location will be. This will also give me the piece of mind of a stronger chair as the existing steel is a little thin.

Oh, I also had to modify the chairs resting position as it did not sit back enough for me. I wanted it to have the same slope as it did in the car. Again this is something I would solve with washers on my adjustable bracket in a few years.

@Hammerhorn , a little off topic but you aren't by chance a fly fisherman?

Use to be a spin and fly fisherman, especially cutthroats. Now I bait fish with my oldest (three years old), but prefer to trap crawdads in the cold clean rivers of the Sierra. Much more instant gratification catching a hundred crawdads over a fish or two. We both get board bait fishing.

Since my last trading desk share, I've moved...here's my new setup - 7 screens with room for 1 more. I have 4 22" (Dell), 1 24" (Dell) and 1 27" (ASUS).

I have three machines running.

1.) PC - Trading computer with Tradestation
2.) Linux box with dual Xeon, 24-core and 48GB of RAM. I run a lot of my EOD analysis via automation on this machine
3.) Mac mini - used for my day-to-day browsing, coding, etc.

I use an Iogear 4 port KVM to switch between the three.

What are the specifications of your trading PC? Does your LINUX box run an actual automated strategy with money backing it or does it simply run an analysis which you base your further trading off of?
