...

The notebook, pen and ruler are my old fashion Trading Journal tools. I have tried many different trading log tools but I haven't found anything that beats it....

I guess than you already tried MS OneNote or one of its competitors? I like it because I can easily include screenshots and it is almost as easy to use as pen and paper.

I gave it a quick try. I don't really need to save screenshots and the like. My journal is usually market idea's, trade justification and trade log. I also jot down notes on whether I followed my rules and managed trades correctly. It's a pretty simple log but it keeps me honest and that's the most impotant part. Keeping that process simple is wise imho.

I also tweet some of my charts and thoughts so that sort of acts as a journal of idea's

Good one Gary. I joined the ranks earlier today, though I'm not as seasoned in this area as you are (nor do I wish to be! )

I'm a firm believer in low technology. I'm not sure we are making progress ... I kinda like the way we used to do it....

Nice foto, I immediately noticed the ticker symbol for General Electric. I know that General Electric joined the DJIA in 1907 and that NYSE introduced a new technology when it installed the first ticker tape in 1923.

However, I did not know that you were able to take a photo of that event and that the ticker for General Electric was already GE back in 1923. Are those girls your two younger sisters?

USX-U.S. Steel obtained stock symbol "X" in approximately 1921

I'd take the frames off so they didn't breakup the image ....

Anybody have any experience with sit/stand adjustable desks?

GeekDeskŪ Adjustable Height Desks - GeekDesk Max

Thinking about picking one of these up, seem to be pretty well priced, but I'll save some cash by buying the frame only and making a top myself.

I'm not sure why you want a desk like this, but if it is to avoid being in the same position too often, one other thing you might consider that I use (and found a lifesaver) is a Pilates ball chair. For example: Amazon.com: Fit-Chair 40090 with Base: Sports & Outdoors

Even before I started trading I would spend many hours staring at the screens and not moving around enough because I was deep in code or whatnot. After a nasty attack of sciatica I picked up one of these and it has made a huge difference.

The height is adjustable by inflating the ball, but more importantly, my lower spine and upper legs are no longer stuck in one place. Even when I reach for the mouse, the rest of me moves a little, and that seems to help keep everything flowing.

If you are tall like me, these exensions are what you want as well: Ball Chair Height Adapters for Isokinetics Inc. Brand PLASTIC FRAME Ball Chairs - Set of 4 - Black: Amazon.com: Sports & Outdoors
