I had screens stacked 3 high / 2 wide . changed it to 2high / 3 wide as my neck was suffering badly . easier on neck to pivot head than tilt it

yeah I could see how that would become a problem, I would really like to get a 40" + monitor but cant justify $2000 for two monitors.

maybe look into a tv or something

Tv's just dont look right and i get eye problems from them although expensive TVs are likely better. Quality screens are a must if you in front of them 6-7 hours a day imo . Dont skimp in office if you spend 30% of the week in there . Quality screens and chairs are neccessities . Ive spent 20k on office hardware . Another handy hint if you have screens 2 high make the gap between bottom and top screen at exactly eye height , minimizes neck tilt from vertical as much as possible .

yeah thankfully I got a great desk ( sit/stand) and an extremely comfortable chair.. I think for me I'm going to have the bite the bullet and try something and hopefully be able to return it if I don't like it.

right now 2 screens are okay but it would really be nice to not have to switch between tabs

I am really astonished that most of the monitor setups are completely ignoring basic ergonomic requirements.

The distance between the monitors and the eye should be somewhere between 20'' and 40''. The distance also depends on the size of the monitors. In case that you use 24'' monitors, the recommended minimum distance is 30".

For the setups above I cannot see, how you can work with your PC and at the same time maintain that distance. The distance from the edge of the table to the panels of the screen should be at least 20''.

The most relaxing position for the head is to look downward at an angle between 20° and 30°. If you use two rows of monitors make sure that you have the main stuff displayed on the lower row and only occasionally watch the upper displays.

my monitor (laptop screen is) 13'.5"" width (15.25 diagonal) and distance to eye is
30" -so if 24:30 is a ratio (0.8) then at 30 Is should be good to go.

I have a standing workstation (bookshelf with box on top).

(Once I get to million in profits I'll post a pic of my powerful 1.5GH , 3.0 GB kickass powerhorse - LOL!)

Good trading and good health to all in 2019!!

..........
peace, love and joy to you

This is the room with my Battle Station. Hope you enjoy it. I have been renovating my office over the last year and I custom built my Battle Station (trading computer) last month when everything was on sale. Previously, I had Six 23”monitors and used an ASUS Gaming Laptop. Now, I LOVE THE DELL 49” Curve Monitors !!!! Each Dell 49”Curve Monitor replaces 3 of my previous monitors and got rid of A LOT of cords. Also, NO SPACES between charts and Awesome resolution. The Lower Dell 49" Curve monitor is my main screen so I that neck and eyes are in comfortable positions. I use the Razer Obweaver for Hotkeys and Macros for speedy execution so that I don’t have to take my hand off the mouse and reduces clicks for commands.

Volume / TPO profiles and Orderflow including Bookmap are the main tools I use for trading.

Custom Build Trading Workstation
- 2 Dell 49” IPS U4919DW Curve Monitors (5120 x 1440 QHD)
- ASUS ROG STRIX X299-E Gaming Motherboard
- Intel I9-7900 Processor 10-Core
- 64GB RAM
- EVGA GeForce RTX2070 XC Ultra Gaming RGB Graphics Card, 8GB GDDR6, Dual HDB Fans
- Samsung 500GB 970EVO NVME M.2 SSD
- Thermal Take View 31 RGB ATX Case
- Thermal Take FOE AIO RINNG RGB 360
- Razer Orbweaver (for Hotkeys and Macros)
- Razer Huntsman Elite Optical Mechanical Keyboard
- Razer Firefly Hard Gaming Mouse Pad
- Sony Bluetooth Speaker for music

ASUS ROG G750JM-BSI7N24 - 17.3" - Core i7 [email protected] - 24GB RAM - 250 GB SSD (Backup Laptop, Traveling and Reference Computer).

Apple MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Early 2013), 2.4GHz Intel Core i7, 16GB RAM (Used for Internet surfing - NO SURFING on Trading Workstation)
Amazon Echo Plus - Used for calling my Broker in emergencies (LOL !!). I just bought this and testing it out. For example, “Alexa, what is the current price of Crude Oil” and it gives me the price statistics.

Emergency Outdoor Generator for the Entire House
Firewall, Managed Switch, and Local APC Battery Backup with extended Backup Unit.

I am a Batman Fan and this is my “Bat Cave” so I bought a light that shines the “Bat Signal” on the ceiling automatically when it gets dark (smile).

RTX 2070 and i9, that is awesome.

I am looking to build a new beast this year some time. I just have my heart set on RTX 2080 Ti but probably need to get over it.
As if 2300 cuda cores are not enough and I need 4000. I really do not.

Here is the Performance Monitoring Stats for my Custom Built Battlestation. I keep this displayed up at all times on the top Dell 49" monitor above the list of News events. This helps me to stay tuned to what's going on. I thought about getting better Graphics card, but the RTX2070 is sufficient. I use Bookmap and it is a Resource HOG so a Dedicated Graphics card is a MUST. Hope this helps.
