So here is my battlestation entry for best nomadic set up

Since January 2017 we have pretty much been living a nomadic lifestyle.

We started in Japan, Portugal (May '17 which is when I started my trading journey), Italy, then home briefly (Isle of Wight, UK).
Then on to Thailand, Vietnam and now we are back in Thailand for the next 11 months or so.

First part of our trip was more for pleasure. This leg is driven with a purpose to clear some remaining student loan debt and save some money to settle down somewhere in the world and start a family... and perhaps put a few pennies aside for a future, larger trading account than the one I currently have if needed.

In my journal here on futures.io I'm attempting to simulate taking my modest/measly account of $2,500 into the realms of a big boy account.
Can it be done? Perhaps... I'm going to continue to document my efforts.
And whatever the outcome it will hopefully help others that are starting out from similar modest beginnings.

If I get there it may become a beacon of hope for those also trying and if not a warning that you need a more realistic starting account.

But first I must keep crafting my edge and practicing it's execution. And then the real test can begin.

I am in no rush... I have the security of an existing semi-autonomous business so can take my time and try to get it right.

Enough of that...

Here is my mobile trading desk set up...

It all fits into a rucksack so I'm fully mobile and I trade off a 4G dongle because I'm crazy.

Lastly a shout out to all the products/vendors that form part of what I do each day.

And of course @Big Mike and his team of expert moderators @sam028, @tturner86 and @xplorer for maintaining this amazing resource and community.

On my three Trading screens I use 4 charts on Entry/Exit screen, 6 on a Reference Screen for Trend Setups, and about 8 charts of longer frames, including YM, ES, NQ. I am currently trading RTY but want to migrate to NQ in near future.

Second PC with 3 screens is for my Futures Trading & Timing newsletter called Bend~The~Trend. (free subscriptions available at https://www.futures911.com). Here I use eod data from Sierra Chart, while on futures it is CQG/AMP Trading.

I have been a full time futures trader for nearly 10 years. I also develop trading systems on these two setups. Some spreadsheet based, and others chart-based. My trading level is Advanced.

I have a crappy camera, but my setup is minimalist' so I will work around.. Part of what I use to help keep me from being bored is (don't laugh) associating trading with Star Wars.. Now usually I wouldn't bother posting but it's called "Battlestations" and I suppose the nerdy aspect keeps me on track, it keeps me at work with my goals.

It's basically just a laptop on a desk, wireless mouse and a stress ball (key feature) the lights are out and the room is dimly lit by my vintage style green bankers lamp which is to the right of my desk, I also usually play meditative music and white noise through my earphones to help focus, sometimes this is Gregorian chants other times it is background ambience (usually from various levels of old Lucasarts Star Wars video games.) (Youtube is amazing these days)

What you see on screen is pretty much all I have up, it's a typical ladder with split prints, everything is managed through hot keys and the mouse buttons then taken away to avoid distraction, I can slide the window to the left to expose the tick values and order positions.

No photo but hopefully some can find value, my desktop shows 80% of the scene.. but yeah the stress ball really helps me so if you need help staying relaxed I would highly recommend getting one.

Oh and of course Sheev Palpatine holds up for an interesting chat.

Peace

Love that desk, but two comments:

(1) The screens are already smoking, if you reduce the brightness to 50% you can save some power.

(2) I do not think that it is a real Rollei.
