Nice looking tables. Can you adjust the height? Are they available in the US?
Thanks,
Ron

thanks - yes they are height adjustable. I do not know if they are available in the US, but its a danish company called SIS functional furniture. I checked their home page and they have an agent in the US, so they might be, heres the contact info from their homepage:

how to post a picture. I wanted to share a brilliant piece of software. Like a dumbass I added a new machine without thinking about how an additional mouse and keyboard would screw things up and get in the way. My neighbor, who is a brilliant guy, suggested Synergy. This is an open source program that is complimentary...same as free...that allows you to control multiple computers with a single mouse and keyboard.

Here is the real trick. I was able to download, install, configure and use this software without any help at all. I have no contact or relationship with the guys there except to say they have improved my desk and made my life easier.

Hi wldman,

if you want to try a similar software, you can use the free tool "Mouse without Borders" from the microsoft developer team. It is heavily used at MS and was tested by 9000 MS employees before it was released to the rest of the world..

See prior post:

I will try the Synergy solution too - it's very nice thats an open source project, so we can add features.

Well, I will stay with Synergy...think about how many MS employees tested Vista

HERE is what I wrote a bit further up in this thread about my experience with Synergy.

@bijeremiad:

About 23 years ago I bought a black wooden plate and two stands ..... I love it this way, because I am tall, and there is nothing that interferes with my legs. The wooden plate has a size of 60'' x 30''. The distance between the central monitor and the edge of the plate is 25''.

When I am sitting at my desk, the distance between my eyes and each of the monitors is 30''. My head is looking down at an angle of about 20° while I am writing this post.

All PCs in my home are set up in a way that the user does neither have a window behind his back nor in front of him. The main panel of the PC should always be perpendicular to the window of the room. My office is located on the Northern side of the house. This avoids direct sunlight. The window is left from the panels, as I am writing with my right hand, and I do not want to have the shadow of my hand covering the text. On the right side of my desk there is the trading library, just in case that anybody comes up with a new idea.

Hey, where's your screen for futures.io (formerly BMT), Harry?

You are never in the wrong place... but sometimes you are in the right place looking at things in the wrong way.

I built this setup in February. I was very concerned it wouldn't be powerful enough to drive the whole thing. But it does a great job. Plus I can pack up the laptops with my chart package and trading platform and head to the hotel next to a place I like to paddle on the Mississippi River.
