Here's my trading setup...

6 monitors. 3 Dell 22" (bottom row on EasyMountLCD 3 monitor stand), 1 ASUS 27" (middle top), 1 Samsung 20" (top left) and 1 Dell 20" (top right). The smaller Dell + Samsung monitors will be replaced later this year.

The desk is an IKEA Galant Desk and my chair (not shown) is a BodyBilt Executive Chair with Headrest.

Your image isn't working.

Throughout this thread I have noticed a conspicuous lack of mousepads on many desks. You'll be amazed at the difference a good surface with some fresh teflon mousefeet will do. My personal favourite are the steelseries S&S pads (slightly textured hard plastic), but the QCK (cloth) ones are good too.

I have noticed a conspicuous lack of coffee cups... only 2 in the entire thread! wtf?

I also am developing a strong case of monitor inadequacy...

I might be wrong, but I thought that trading is all about size...or don't we all want to trade size?

@wldman, I found this article by Lance Beggs helpful in thinking about screen set up. He references his past as a miltary helicopter pilot and the habit of selective radial scan when navigating the markets. The linked article has suggestions for 1 monitor, but I thought it was an interesting way to think about setting up your screens visually.

From his website, looks like he trades off a two-monitor set up.

I have been asking and trying to start conversation on visual ergonomics and color schemes that enforce a conditioned response. Interesting that ALL of the research on that is from the field of aviation (mostly military). Thanks for the interesting article. DB

so the trouble with trading on your iphone isn't that the screen is so small....it's that the tendency to throw it when a trade goes wrong is so large...

mostly trade on a laptop with a single monitor Might have to up my game after reading this thread
Pirate hat to the right is the most important part of the setup.
