I use a 55" Samsung 4k monitor and 8 24" monitors on 2 PC's. 1 PC I use for reference of markets and the other PC I use for actual trading. The 4k is overkill, but it is utilized for other than just trading so it's dual function. I don't have a million indicators on my screen, I only watch orderflow and volume profile with high probability levels that I manually input myself where I see price moving to, wait for a reaction at those levels and act accordingly only when price reaches those levels, otherwise I sit and wait.

When trading gets boring, that's how you know you're an accomplished trader.

This is my station! I work with Mini S&P here in Brazil.
Basically a SuperDOM with Volume, APQ and Avrg Price.
Also, my wallpaper...We have to be a sniper in the market!

Thanks a lot, hope I win!

Look really great. Setup explanation is even more impressive, miskhr. Appreciate very much.

Just wonder, if you really have 8 24" or just 7 24" and one 32" at the bottom right hand corner? LOL

I went from this:

To this:

And i have never been more profitable!
Once i started trading i thought the more information i could see the better a trader i would become.
There were some other setups in the time in between then and now and it took some time to adjust myself to the downsizing.
However i will never go back to what i had!

Sometimes less is more!
I am going to upgrade the 2 screens i have now to 1 34" ultra wide screen.
Something like this:

Oh, and of course one with the Futures.io logo and (a part) of me

I made a stand up desk so I am not sitting all the time, nice and sturdy. I have an I7 8700k with 32 gbs of ram,and a Samsung SSD. I also have a tall drafting chair. I like it

Greetings, John:

You have one of the most simple tools used for trading.... bravo

and if you trade live with real money,

I'll vote for your setup to be Number 1
for simplicity and profitability.... K?

You need not post your statement
or broker acct or anything silly things
like most antiquated traders would
ask for,

but just post your trading screen with
CHART TRADER showing on the
right hand side of your trading
setup, that would suffice for me, K?

Like the attachment below.
and thx for sharing your screen.

Happy and profitable Trading.

Hey 4tison, i appreciate your intent to vote for me, i have traded live using same setup and charts some months ago, but had a good run in May and then broke rules and had a drawdown. So for good month and half took some time off and also had to get my health back in shape. Anyhow then i got back to the screens (end of july) and since then been working on my scalping method for NQ/CL and working on a more structural approach for ES. Currently I am on SIM as I haven't been the same since my last drawdown so i am working on it, even though i haven't changed my charts or method, just tweaks and side experiments on how to better gauge breakouts vs what i like to call a fakeout. I don't have a plan to go live for another 3 months, because i want to have good of a sample size to evaluate my different setups under different market conditions as cleanly executed as possible. I appreciate the vote. Whether me being on sim at the moment changes your mind, then no worries. But I am active on FIO to journal my own progress and learn from other's journaling and share my journey. This contest is a side benefit of being on FIO

But I appreciate your comments on the simplistic nature of my setup. It's been the same since I started, but the laptop hangs often and hence the intention to build a reasonable PC down the road.

I don't want to take up space on this thread, nor derail its purpose, but if you want to see more of how i trade, you can visit my journal as you are an elite member. I will be posting an update tonight for trades taken today (again on SIM). You can check out my images there.

Cheers,

John
