I'd love to get rid of the MACD off my charts. What would you suggest? Or would you?

Why do you want to get rid of it?

Look at alternate ways of using it. Here's one way: Divergence; 2 nice trades in 3 hours time.

Doesn't matter, I identified these divergences on your chart, It doesn't matter what parameters you use. Obviously, whatever parameter you are using works if you familiarize yourself with how those parameters affect the behavior of the indicator well enough. Choose a set of parameters, and stick to them, don't change them every other day. Let your brain get familiar with what the patterns look like with those parameters, until they become 2nd nature.

Yah their is the alternate way of using it like as in divergence. But I've never been able to pick those out with any consistency. The way I use it, or try to is below in the picture

You do have a way of determining consistency and probability, it is through backtesting a large sample of those signals in whatever way you use the indicator, any indicator, any trading approach.
