Welcome to

Welcome, Guest!

This forum was established to help traders (especially futures traders) by openly sharing indicators, strategies, methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading forums:
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive on our forums.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendor advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in openness and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, it is not something tangible you can download.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community. It's free and simple, and we will never resell your private information.

I cracked up,showed my wife, and she has gone to church and will be saying a prayer for this fellow and all the others that fall into this category.

Very scary and probably on the mark.

lol snort lol

That is a real gem Mike. Models and Bottles are in this guys future.

But at least he got all the way to "Stage 2" of trader school without buying a $10,000 trading course on the GANN system.

Thanks Mike!

He stole my system !
He should have used 2 particle Osc's, that will make it work for sure.. use the 60 sec osc as the long term trend. lol
Seriously , that was great, how many traders start out doing things like that ?
The market is a great but painful teacher..

" My stock-astic and fi-bone-achi " - hysterical . The dude trying to reason with the soon to be live "trader" is wasting his time .

one mistake in awesome trader thinking is his linear thinking i.e. if I make 10 bucks a day then I make 50 bucks in a week and so on.

one mistake in awesome trader thinking is his linear thinking i.e. if I make 10 bucks a day then I make 50 bucks in a week and so on.

And I've also seen a huge focus on "how much money I can make" but basically zero focus on "how much money can I lose?". You look at a large number of spreadsheets and it's all about compounding returns and all kinds of stuff for when to add new contracts, but hardly any focus on what to do when you start losing money.

Due to time constraints, please do not PM me if your question can be resolved or answered on the forum.

Need help?
1) Stop changing things. No new indicators, charts, or methods. Be consistent with what is in front of you first.
2) Start a journal and post to it daily with the trades you made to show your strengths and weaknesses.
3) Set goals for yourself to reach daily. Make them about how you trade, not how much money you make.
4) Accept responsibility for your actions. Stop looking elsewhere to explain away poor performance.
5) Where to start as a trader? Watch this webinar and read this thread for hundreds of questions and answers.
