Judging by the level of activity, and quality of the posts, on various fora, it's becoming very apparent that daytrading is nearly dead now. I've often wondered if there is a secret forum somewhere -- in which all of the profitable traders post --- but I think most have either retired, established private connections or found solace in seclusion.

alright, since you've been using them both profitably in your own trading, the m and the v profiles;

would you kindly spell them out succinctly for many of us, in terms of:

1--how are they used in general? and;

2--how do you personally apply them in your own trading; without having to reveal or show your trading secret, pls?

I've checked out mp, but I only use vp.
I have a journal here in the elite section
as well as a more established one on another site.

I started out reading it like most; Tests in low volume by price areas and
attraction towards high volume by price areas. As price establishes a POC,
it often rotates between two areas of low volume by price. Before
price becomes efficient it marks up or marks down. A new POC is then established
or price moves back to an already established POC/tests a previous area of low volume by price.

I use a more mechanical vp approach now where I trade using two custom levels
based on a code I wrote for the thinkorswim platform. My approach is very basic
in its elements with focus on specific prices and risk/trade management.
