When I get an e-mail from a thread there is both a description of the reply and a link to the forum thread. The problem I am having is that the link doesn't take me to the response that I would like to post a reply to. Here's an example:

It takes you to your last unread post. It is assumed you want to read the last unread post, and not skip posts you haven't read yet.

You need to look for a link that includes a reference to the post number. I no longer use the email update but it used to look like this:

Note the #postXXXXX at the end of the URL when you hover over the link. FYI, it is the same URL shown in the 'permalink' at the top right of each post.

Unfortunately the e-mails (I checked the last 4) do not show the permalink when I hover over the link. It would be nice to have that ability because, as much as I would like to read all the posts I haven't read, I don't have the time (or interest) to do that if I don't want to. This will be my last reply. If you can change it great, if you can't thanks.

@gcaldridge, It looks like the "Instant" email notification does not include links to each post. Try subscribing using Daily or Weekly emails instead. Those are working for me.
